OPP officers are hunting five suspects after bandits confronted the occupant of a dwelling during a home invasion in The Gore-Old Church Rds. area in Caledon.

Police said the thugs displayed what officers believed was an imitation firearm during the 5 a.m. home invasion.
Police say after the confrontation, the home invaders retreated in two vehicles: a newer model black or grey Acura TLX sedan and a black Volkswagen Tiguan. The suspects were captured by a surveillance camera.
Minor injuries were sustained during the incident.

A 42-year-old pedestrian was rushed to a hospital in life-threatening condition Monday after he was hit by a Jeep that collided with another vehicle in Etobicoke.
Toronto Police said that a 21-year-old motorist was driving his black Jeep Cherokee on Horner Ave. when he collided with a Nissan Murano around 5:20 p.m. which was making a left-hand turn on Kipling Ave.
The Jeep continued off the road and struck the pedestrian who standing on the northwest corner of the intersection, according to police.
The driver of the Nissan was transported to hospital with minor injuries and the driver of the Jeep remained at the scene.
Police officers asked anyone who had dash-camera footage of the incident to contact them.
